Selling one of the most iconic Canon Big White Primes ever made!
This was my uncle's lens. He is the original owner, purchased in 2002. It has been his baby and is in very good mechanical condition.
Some of the white paint has worn off from use as seen in pictures. This is common for these lenses.
It comes with all accessories as pictured.
$1,900 net to me takes it. I will cover shipping and insurance in the CONUS.
500mm f/4, minimum aperture f/32, 8-blade diaphragm
17 elements in 13 groups, including one fluorite and two UD elements
Closest focus 4.5 m (14.8 ft), max magnification 0.12x
52mm rear drop-in filter
146 x 387 mm (5.7" x 15.2")
3,870 g (8.5 lb)
Magnesium alloy construction with rubber sealing at the mount and switches for dust and moisture resistance
Ring-type USM, internal focusing, full-time mechanical manual focus, AF stop, focus preset, two-position focus limiter (4.5m–∞ / 10m–∞)
Two IS modes; Canon rates the stabilizer at approximately 2 stops. Mode 2 for panning. Safe to leave IS on when tripod-mounted.
Removable tripod mount
Works with Canon EF 1.4x and 2x extenders (700mm f/5.6 / 1000mm f/8)
