I was wondering if anybody has ordered a high quality, custom sized, camera bag and can recommend the maker? I am looking for a high quality bag (e.g., Billingham, Ona, Oberwerth) that is custom fitted to my everyday camera and lens combination with no extra bulk/weight. There are many camera bags that come close, but there is always a deal breaker for me personally.
Yes, I am aware that Etsy is a thing. I am asking if anybody has actually ordered a custom camera bag like this, and can recommend them.

Good luck and to be honest, I never thought having a bag made was a thing, at least not in the photography space. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I have numerous Domke F1X's and F2's..Made in the USA.....Granted they are not "custom" bags". I do NOT want them to be!
The Domke canvas bags are very rugged with tons of storage and easily customizable.
I have Canon dslr bodies and certain lenses(14mm-400mmf5.6) that I put in the "go bags". Grab-n-go..Everything I need for the "trip"
Any excess space is easily modified with the compartment separator that flex(included in the bag kit).
1 such bag saved a 5DSR EF24-105 IS 2 days ago in a violent thunderstorm with the rear window 50% open...canvas yes! Leather would not have saved this incident.

They do good work, I have three of their bags. They last for decades. They are not luxury bags, but functional, minimal, light, tough and weather resistant.
If you're willing to pay enough (a LOT), and are very exacting and have the exact dimensions you want, I'm sure you can find a leather crafter or upholsterer to do the work. Or maybe directly contact ONA or HoldFast to make something for you.
Who knows, maybe you'll become their next bag designer.
