Ellicott City is about an hour from my home. I've know about it for years but never visited it. I read that it was another historic place, I think founded around 1770 and that it looked pretty much the same, except they now have electricity and indoor plumbing. I had planned on getting there before the town woke up, around 6:30 in the morning, I like to shoot empty streets, but I didn't wake up early enough and by the time I got there, about 8:30, the town was awake. It was a beautiful morning, sunny, low humidity, which for this area is very rare in August. I'll go back there in a few weeks to do a comprehensive photo essay, so consider this an appetizer.
