I recently started getting into photography, and it turns out it's really cool. I want to buy myself a professional camera once I earn some money. I want a camera with zero lag. Sony A9 III – what do you think, is it worth getting this camera for a beginner? It has a big plus that all the sensors read light simultaneously, but one minus – I won't be able to easily pull details out of the photos.

Well, if the majority of your subjects require above base ISO, zooms, or primes with the aperture wide open, there may not be much extra detail to excavate out of the lens.
However, if you shoot subjects where you can use base ISO, primes stopped down, tripods, and especially if you use pixel shift then yes you will see more detail from the high res sensors.

Its a pity the A9iii does not support pixel shift
Given the speed of the sensor - is there any technical reason that it doesn't? Or did Sony just not get around to that?
The A9 III has no competitor. It was released almost 3 years ago, and the other brands still don't have an answer to it. It was and still is revolutionary.
These days, I like shooting birds, and yes, the A9 III lacks some cropability power (but not as much as most people think), but many times I wish, especially for small birds, that I could do 120fps. I have the 30 fps A1, and even that is not fast enough in this scenario.
I'm still waiting for the price to drop, but at 3500 USD I may have chosen it instead of a used A1.
