I have a set of Voigt Lanthar/ultron lenses (28/2, 50/2, 75/1.9, 90/4) that I currently adapt to my Fuji XT5. I am wondering about going FF. I left Nikon in 2013 for Fuji as I got tired of the 20lb back pack full of glass. The last couple years I have enjoyed the smaller m-mount lenses and the slowness of manually focusing.
I want the 5.76MP EVF as I enjoy the manual focus experience.
I would get 2/3-1 stop better noise/DR
A bit better build with the Zf over the XT, although it comes with a few extra ounces.
Would I get the focus confirmation with VM lenses on the Z6iii or Zf?
Any issue with the 28mm FL on the sensor? I assume the 50mm+ will be fine.
Weight and size are important consideration (which is the biggest reason against a used SL2-S)
If at some point I desire AF, I think the TechArt AF M-Z adapter should work with these lenses, right?
It seems the if I stay with M-mount lenses I can use the TechArt adapter, if I do the Z-mount I get EXIF.
Do I just stay with Fuji? If I stay, I need to use my xf18/1.4 and 33/1.4 to get close to the quality of the Lanthars - but those lenses are much bigger.
The Z6iii has the much better EVF over the Zf but lacks the dials.
It seems the Zf is the only body that comes close to the XT line for using the dials, which I love.
The Zf has a 3.69MP EVF, FYI, sounds like you might be confused on that point. You'd need the Z6iii for that. Not that it really matters when you have green box focus confirmation and won't have to rely on peaking or magnification any longer.
You can fake EXIF even with a dumb adapter, but you'd lose green box focus conf. If you use the Techart, then you'd set the current focal length on that for IBIS and focus confirmation.
It sounds like you use the Lanthars for maximum IQ. If that's important, you should simply get the native Z versions as they are fully optimized for the Nikon sensor stack thickness where adapted M aren't. I'll even make you a deal on a 50/2 local pickup

Am considering the Z6iii (which has the better EVF) or the Zf - the ideas focus confirmation and eye tracking is intriguing but then the AF option is also interesting which means stay with my m-mount lenses. Do I get focus confirmation with the techart?

It is but in practice I don't find it that useful. You only get confirmation that you're in-focus (or not) but the real value of manual focus assist tools - like ground glass or a rangefinder - is that they allow you to infer how far and in which direction you're out. Imo that's much more difficult to assess in an EVF alone.
Canon has the best digital focus-assist tool on their RF bodies, but they're gating it behind chipped lenses. Similar to Nikon there are some workarounds with adapters, but it's a PITA.
Imo best solution for your M glass is a used M10 / M10R. I'd probably keep the Fuji for some AF use, or get a Z5II.
