I hope I got the bird type right; I am told these are mostly noctural, maybe that is why this was the first time I saw them at the pond.

Camera OM-1 Mark II.
Lens: OM 300mm f4.

The backlighting is very nice.
I get the juvenile black-crowned confused with the yellow-crowned, but I'm no birder.

The eye color dose not change so that's the easiest way to tell the juveniles apart.

Nice way to use the existing light to your advantage on this little guy... they are so different when they are juvi's, it's almost like a metamorphosis as they get older. Terrific series.
