I bought 2 wood(solid)credenzas(20 years ago) that have either 1 or 2 glass doors plus solid doors on each side. 1 credenza has drawers and a large opening..both have an adjustable middle shelfed center glass doors.
Lots of storage and very nice looking if not in your "man cave" and would have conflicts with the "better half's" furniture preference.
5Ft in length....plenty of space...I added lights myself..super easy in todays world. Humidity never an issue. I then have nice chrome metal (adjustable) shelving sitting on the top of the credenza for "stuff" I need to see all the time and grab-n-go.

The credenzas are a great idea too and I will keep that in mine.
Well, I am the female in the household, so not really a "man cave".
I use Ruggard dry cabinet I got from B&H years ago. Silent and maintains leas than 30% humidity inside with 65% outside. Zero issues with gear after all that time (about 10 years I think).
