I enjoy most features and usage of the camera, but although they now incorporate AutoISO use in M mode, there is no way to dial in exposure compensation in M mode. This was incredibly frustrating, while shooting on the coast yesterday, with the sun coming in and out of cloud cover (as is often the case).
It is more clunky to set a min shutter speed (especially if you want that to change) and stay in A mode.
Near as I can tell, this is not fixable by trying to assign ExComp to a particular dial, as the dials one would choose are used for the adjustments of A and S in M mode.
With lenses with a function ring you can set EV to the ring on the lens. This wont work for lenses that don’t have the ring like P lenses or the older XCD lenses.
It’s also not the most elegant solution, IMHO. But it does allow what you want.

Appreciated, Gordon. I was using a 25V, which I now realize has this feature. I had thought that it did not. That is convenient enough.
Yep. Works like a charm. Only exception is that I can turn several clicks before I see changes. Perhaps it only actually moves the EV at each full stop turn? In any case, works fine. Thanks again, Gordon.
