Anyone Have any Experience with X Mount Viltrox 75mm F1.8 EVO?
p.1 #1Anyone Have any Experience with X Mount Viltrox 75mm F1.8 EVO?
I am looking at ordering this X mount lens for my X-T5, it would be my 1st Viltrox. Really liked the 105mm F2 DC for portraits when I shot with Nikon. I have the XF 50 f2 and XF 90mm f2 and this Viltrox would be a lighter weight alternate (1/2 pound less) to the 90mm.
Could not find any user reports here, though 1 person got the X mount 90mm f2.2 EVO and later returned it. Any comments appreciated.

I have one and it is great. If that is the focal length you like, you will like this lens. Smaller and lighter than the Viltrox 1.2 Pro, but I don't think the 1.2 could be sharper. This 1.8 version is very sharp and very manageable as far as size and weight. Easy to use on the X-T5 and pretty easy to manage on the X-E5 also. The 1.2 would be nose heavy on the X-E5.
One thing I noticed, when wide open with a white and very dark edge, I see some blue chromatic aberration stuff and it wasn't there at 2.8. LR didn't handle it, but if you don't have bright white sharp edges with dark background, I guess you're fine. That is the only nitpick I could find.

Thanks @RWNPhoto
Went ahead and ordered this lens from Viltrox direct last night, got a nice 10% discount code so it was only $296 shipped. Have a photo trip coming up in 3 weeks and it will get a lot of use shooting portraits outside.

I use the Viltrox 10% discount code from Authur R. He is an excellent YT, mostly Sony APSC, camera/lens reviewer. He tells it straight.
