Suggestion since you asked: Maybe post at smaller size, scrolling up and down makes it impossible to see the entire image. For me, 900 px long side about as large as I can go with portrait orientation; 1100 px the max horizontal length for landscape.
As posted, is the intended subject the top of the post or the railing (?) elbow? Difficult to decide viewing piece-wise.
One other thought, maybe landscape orientation focusing on the right 1/2 - 2/3 of the image highlighting the patina on the pipe?
Doug & Bob: Thanks for the helpful critiques. Re: orientation --- I believe the vertical presentation offered more of the shadows/textures/top of the pillar + some of the pipe.
