Yeah I even contemplated on maybe I should bring a standard zoom instead but I'm pretty comfortable with both 35/40mm primes as walkabout lenses. Definitely I don't want to shoot wide open a lot especially with the Viltrox 35/1.2. Boosting the ISO with the A7V is a walk in the park even at ISO 12500.

with my 40mm and 85mm I was pretty happy walking through the Shinjuku district.
unfortunally I was there only once.

Thanks, good suggestion on the see-through umbrella. I think I might order one on Amazon rather than trying to look for one in Tokyo.

Its not about the lens but mainly the neon lights! Bring a glimmer glass filter and take. Night time shots around shinjuku and shibuya! So lively at night lots of alleyways and lights. A lot of street photo opportu cities so many people around as well
