Well, seven years in and my RP viewfinder has a little crack in the plastic tab that holds the viewfinder eyepiece. I glued it back with cyanoacrylate but I'm not enthusiastic about it's reliability. I may force in some hot glue behind it while inserting the viewfinder rubber piece to back fill the space behind it.
There's no way to replace the tab itself, the part is moulded in with a majority of the rear plastic cover, which seems attached with a pile of adhesive gaskets.
(Horrible flash photo using an iPhone...I guess the texture on the RP kicks up lots of reflections)
I had the RP for about 2 years and then gave it to my son, who uses it daily. He doesn't have any issues with the camera, and he said that he bumps it a lot.

Thanks--I've found some threads elsewhere which suggests I'm not the only one whose had this problem. (I'm glad you and your son have not encountered it, thankfully)
I am just waiting to get some rubber cement to back fill the rubber eyepiece. I perennially lose eyepieces on my SL1, from the viewfinder rubbing on my hip as I have it on a sling. Perhaps this is how my RP was damaged.
