My Q3 43 is the only camera I shoot both RAW and jpeg, usually just RAW with other cameras. But a lot of times I like the look of the jpegs and they might only need a small tweak which works fine with the Leica JPEGs. The RAW is there if I need it, but if I get the look I want without fine by me.
I mainly shoot in NYC and the light is forever changing. The contrast between the sky and dark buildings is hard to control. I am constantly battling the highlights and trying not to blow them out, so I meter for the highlights. It makes sense for me to shoot RAW just for the fact that I am always trying to recover something. My workflow has evolved the last few years. What I am currently doing is shooting JPEG + RAW. I load the JPEGS into Lightroom CC and the RAWS onto a drive. I access the RAW files via Lightroom Classic if I have the need. RAWS are like negatives, archive them. I can usually tweak the majority of my JPEGS in Lightroom CC to my liking, but I have that safety net just in case.
