Trying something a bit different from time to time - Hummers two ways, normal camera settings , giving the focused body and slow shutter speed with "multi" mode on the flash showing motion. In the multi mode the flash fires several times very quickly. The slower the shutter speed the more motion it captures. I never know what these will look like as they move so quickly . I am really trying for the angel wing look and one of these came "fairly" close. . This is still an experiment in progress . These are lovely Roberta. I like the catchlight in the eye through the wing in the first. It also has the classic frozen body and blurred wings many like. The last is magical with a marvelous pose and sweet blur. As you get to understand this technique better you may be able to predict results and control them some. I look forward to seeing where you go with this.
The last one seems to describe what you're after Birdie. It's certainly my pick. Just beautiful ! I can see how challenging this can be but worth the effort.

The first one is probably my favorite, but I also love the sense of motion and 'S' curve of the body in #3.
