The humidity is near 100%..I walk out my patio door and am already sweating...a brief shower aded more humidity to the steaming ground..This was looking East towards Baltimore..storms most often hit the town to my East, split, 1 goes SE into Montgomery County/DC, the other heads to Baltimore...The not cloud part was a very deep blue to black and the Candian wildfires had the sun a red-orange ball.
Much thunder but NO lightening. Nuts.

The thunderheads reminded me of a marshmellow on a stick....crusy top..white rest
This was behind me..the land rises to the Catoctin Mts..from me
Really great shots, brother! I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the face in the clouds (upper right--that's definitely a face!) I guess that's a real "thunderhead."

Love the first, Dan'l! Some relief is on the way, 52degrees this AM with a high of 74 this afternoon! That, could continue until October, as far as I'm concerned.

I was very restricted in my focal length as I grabbed my "go to" 90D with EF100mm Macro IS so limited wide range...

I LOVE clouds Roberta!
When I was drafted for Vietnam, I chose Airborne training or I should say, It was required..Floating thru clouds..The silence and the wind was magic!
I tried to sneak a Kodak Instamatic on 1 jump and the "jumpmaster" caught it!!! 50 pushups when I hit the ground with chute still attached...and the "jm" held my camera until he landed!!
Thanks!

Despite the challenging weather conditions, you still managed to find excellent examples of nature at her finest. Well done Mr. Dan.
