p.1 #1 · The green heron moved in to the sun on the pond with water lilies
The softer light created by the smoke here in New York City was a delight to work with. I separated the shade images from the sun images as they have such a different look and I wanted each set to stand out rather than be directly compared. We moved over to a different viewing point this time we are sitting on the mettle grill for the overflow catch basin and my camera is resting on it. I used a stick as some would use a bean bag to adjust the angle of my lens and I'm composing with my LCD.
