On his YouTube channel, in a video titled "Sony A7R VI Features Nobody's Talking About," he claimed that the camera shoot 30 fps only in compressed RAW format. So, I wasn't exactly convinced by his level of knowledge.
The video is no longer available; he most likely deleted it because it contained incorrect information.

No one's talking about it because it's wrong, so is HE wrong?

The video is no longer available; he most likely deleted it because it contained incorrect information.Given the early confusion about this issue, I’d forgive him for making one mistake. Unless, of course, you are the sort of person who has never made a single mistake yourself, this is hardly a big deal… ;-)
When the author removes a popular YouTube video because it contained an error, that suggests attention to details and accuracy, and admirable ethical standards.
I don't know this person, and I've never read his books. I stumbled upon this video on Facebook and started watching it, but I immediately encountered this wrong information and lost interest in continuing. We all make mistakes, and it’s good if he correct this now.
Gary is an interesting person who has been around for many years. I've owned several of his eBooks and have watched quite a few of his videos. He's not infallible, but his stuff is more comprehensive and more accurate than pretty much anyone else in the camera eBook business.
I have purchased his books for all camera bodies I have owned for as long as I can remember. I prefer them over the official manuals as they are easier to read and find the features I want to know more about or need clarification. Of course all the information can be found for free online but I don't want to be bothered with having to search. I guess they could be cheaper but the cost has never bothered me. Everyone needs to make a living and I am happy to support his efforts.
