Thanks Mike. I have downloaded and installed this profile from your Dropbox link. Unless I have done something wrong, it works for TIFF and JPEG but not for RAW. Not sure why not, since one of the files includes 'RAW' in its name, but it does not show up in the profile list in LR 15,5.
UPDATE: after I had used it on TIFF and JPEG files, the next time I opened LRC it showed up for .ARW files as well. So works just fine. Thanks again.

You can have a filter on a q2 with a square hood and I can put one on my Sigma 65 with square hood. Now granted you feel like a real dumbass when you stick a polarizer in there and then realize only later that you can't rotate it easily.

Obvious based on how they made this lens yes, but would be nice if they actually find a way so you can still use filters...
40G for Sony has a tapered hood like this but it was able to use filter because the thread is on the lens body itself(so yes the filter would be inside the hood if installed, and yead same problem with CPol/vND). This particular 26Evo solution is definitely an oddball design choice. Personally I'd probably value filter use over the hood given the option...
Oh will this square hood come with new lenses or need to be purchased separately? I purchased the 25 EVO already, and I do like how small the current lens hood is, so maybe it's a moot point for me.

My nit is I like the magnetic cap that comes with this lens a LOT. Of course, I could probably go sans any cap with the square hood, so there is that. It does look cool.

Yeah, I view square hoods as a complete cap replacement, I really liked using my X100 in that way. That said, I did have a filter between the X100 and the hood, which I doubt is possible here.
