-------> IMPORTANT DETAILS!
1. The meter works when it wants to. Being specific, it always works in the sense that it is sensitive to light. It's just that sometimes, when you adjust the aperture, shutter speed, or ISO, the increments aren't precise. However, if it is actively doing this, I will point the camera directly towards the sky, and the meter will max out; the same goes for pointing it at something super dark. It's an enigma. But that's also why I have A LOT of batteries on hand to combat this, along with a light meter.
1a. This camera is SENSITIVE to 6v batteries. That means you MUST USE 6.2v BATTERIES. I just purchased Camelion batteries, and they are fantastic.
2. The 105mm f/2.4 was CLA'd in Japan on March 18, 2024. It was treated for rear balsam separation, a blemish, and slight yellowing of the element. Other than that, there are very SLIGHT specs of dust in the lens that absolutely do NOT affect the photos. I've run through around 20-30 rolls with no problems. The glass on the front and back is GORGEOUS. Sharpest lens I've owned. The external metal of the lens has wear (paint wear).
3. The Pimp my Pentax wood grips were custom-made and sent to me over the pond for $195. They are gorgeous purple heart wood.
4. The strap has been used for about a month, and before that, it was NOS.
5. The TTL prism is in great condition with slight wear on the very top with some paint loss (as it's a sharp point). The contacts are clean and beautiful. No haze, no fungus or mold, nothing. ULTRA clean. On/off for the meter works as intended. On for 25 seconds, then auto shut-off or manual shut-off.
6. The body itself is in excellent shape. Slight wear throughout. All of the buttons and dials work perfectly. The battery compartment is exquisite with no wear. The 120/220 twisting lock is tight and works perfectly. The battery check is perfect. The back door is in excellent condition with barely any wear. The spool holders are precise and well-lubricated. The contacts on the camera are perfect, and it has new seals. 6x7 logo on the front is mint. Both sets of lugs are perfect. The shutter speed dial works perfectly, smoothly, and precisely. The MLU button works as intended, and the reset button above it works great too. Shutter advance is tight, accurate, and beautiful. Advance dial works perfectly. The shutter button lock works perfectly. The "chain" is perfect. Flat, solid, no twists. It couples to both lenses accurately and perfectly.
7. The ring around the shutter speed/ISO dial came off, and two of the tiny screws came undone. I have the piece included, just not the screws.
8. Original wood grip is free of any distress or gunk.
9. 165mm f/2.8
Has mild internal dust specs in the elements. This does NOT show up in the photos. It literally looks "normal". No fungus or mold. Lens is in above-average condition cosmetically.
10. Body & Prism CLA paperwork, completed on April 10, 2025:
Pentax 6x7 MLU Body:
"Unstable power supply, shutter mechanism overhaul, winding mechanism overhaul, light seal replacement, winding gear replacement, screen cleaning."
TTL Prism:
"Large discrepancy in meter readings, CDS sensor replacement, light seal replacement, eyepiece fogging with mold, removed."
