You don't need to justify yourself, I have no business case other than I do what I damn well please and part of the enjoyment for me is trying new stuff or in my case going backwards and trying old stuff too! I too am a serial owner, if you buy something and use if for 3 months to a year and then turn around and sell it for a $100 loss thats way better than renting.
Possibly upgrade to the xt-20 or xt-30s if you liked the xt10. They are much faster than the 10 series and the sensor IQ difference is pretty negligible. Had the xt20 for years and was always happy (had the 50 touit attached always). Now going back to Fuji w the GFX 50r. Found two GF lenses that got me into GFX! <3
That perfectly captures the business sense for me. Trading gear is like renting. I lose less by buying and selling than buying and keeping.

I think we all should be a little bit humble about our work. That said, some of the most salty photographers who claim that they can get their camera to do anything anybody else’s camera can do, often have portfolios of eagles and squirrels that look no different than the thousands of other photos of eagles and squirrels that litter Flickr. While they say I’m brand hopping because of a skills issue, I can say they’re doing that because they lack artistic vision and don’t need their cameras to do much more than shoot squirrels and eagles.

Dan, one of the things I have enjoyed as a Fuji owner for the past 9 years, in addition to the great quality images, is that my Fuji cameras are so good looking! I'm often asked about my Fuji gear while out shooting.

I do have a funny story abut that that I’ve shared here before. Forgive me if you’ve heard it.
Almost a decade ago I as in Heidelberg, Germany, walking down a backstreet in an older part of town near the university where lots of students are around. I had the original XE1 at that time, outfitted most likely with the 35mm f/1.4. A young guy was approaching from the other direction, not really paying too much attention, when he spotted my camera an exclaimed (in English), “Cool! A Leica!”

By the way, I didn't have the heart to tell him the truth. ;-)
When I turned up at my son's wedding with an Xpro2 the brides brother (a keen Canon dslr owner) said 'that's a very old camera'
In all the many years I actually carried Leica Ms I only got comments twice, both from other Leica owners.
Back to the X100VI: It is in principle a very good camera, better even than the X-Pro. Cause it comes with the only focal length attached that makes sense with the OVF (aside from the 27mm FL). It looks good, handles well, and returns good looking images (as opposed to the OP, I don't find the colors "overcooked" or unpleasant. But then again I am a RAW shooter and don't care for Fuji's profiles).
What makes the X100VI flawed is the AF. With the 23mm lens (as with all Fuji bodies) it becomes less reliable and does not return consistent critical sharpness where that sharpness is supposed to be. It is okay using workarounds with the EVF. But the OVF is the MSP of the camera. And in order to use it, I need to trust and rely on the AF system. I can't. And it doesn't really matter whether 5,10,15 or more percent of shots are not in perfect focus. Even if only 5 percent are focused beyond infinity, it makes me distrust the AF system and uncomfortable using it.
Redesigning the AF system for other Fuji cameras may be a problem since it might affect bodies and lenses. The X100 is unique though, as it comes with only one lens. My hope was and is that Fuji may use that model to test a new AF system.
I loved my year with the x100vi and in theory it could be my one and only camera, but what can I say...I want bokeh and a good lens for portraits. The AF could also not keep up with my kids and that was both frustrating and surprising. The camera has so many features that make it a good tool IMO.
My other problem is that when I have two cameras, I would rarely take the x100vi with me. When I had the Xh2, I picked that camera instead with two lenses for better AF and versatility. If they make a new x100 with better AF and a 35mm apsc lens, then I want to buy the camera again.
As for saying that the Images look overcooked....I blame that on user error. There is of course a difference between the camera sensor you tried but man...

Definitely the majority of questions and comments I get about my Leicas are from other Leica owners, but there is an occasional exception. And people have asked me if my X-T5 is a film camera.

This my experience too.
Two other issues for me:
1. I shoot raw also, but Lightroom handles Fuji files weirdly IMO. I don't know why, but I learned that when testing other software, including Fuji's.
2. Once I tried the X-T50 with the 27mm and 50mm, I saw the output was the same, but the difference in versatility was huge.

Sometimes the "user" has the skills, knows what they are doing, and is just having a different experience than you.
