This shrub, Hypericum frondsum Cedarglade, StJohnsWart, has stunning flowers that only bloom for about 3 weeks then die of into a "tri-corner" hat shaped pod.
For about 3-5 days the bees are like "crazed" insects..their legs are "pouches" of pollen. It is as if they were on some "kool-aid acid trip" from the 1960's!
Maybe next year I should video this with the camera?
I have found this flower very hard to get the way I want to portray it correctly with macro lenses and my Canon 90D..with and without "fill flash".
I "see" these also in b&w, mono, toned....
Canon 90D with EF100mmf2.8 IS Macro...This combo is so light in my hand. Feels good!
C&C most welcome..
Dan
