I'm always intrigued by the serenity of an empty road. These are some of the scenes that prompted me to pull over on various roadtrips through the years. Some spotted in the rearview mirror

I too love empty roads. They have such hidden treasures if nothing more than images like this Gary!

That photo was from 2012 and still remains one of my favorites. I feel a lot can be read into that one

I became a sucker for pictures of lonely roads when I started doing road trips in the western parts of the US. How a road meets and fits the landscape in terms of shape and color is what I notice the most. It's the solitude and serenity I miss back home.
Just curious, can you share bit more about the location of the road in the second last picture? It looks oddly familiar to me. I think I might have been there before but the organisation of my photo library is too much of mess right now to see if I got a picture that might help identify it.

Oh man... that's a tough one. I took that traveling from Las Vegas to Los Angeles almost ten years ago. I took a look at some maps to but I honestly don't remember. Sorry
