I only just learned that David Plowden passed away in May.
In my view one of the true greats of B&W photography.
If you don't know of him, look him up!!

I completely agree and love his work. He had a great career, left a treasure trove of superb images that document life during his time and lived to a very old age. My hat's off to him.

I didn't know of him but I took your advice and looked him up. I love the evenness of his tones across his work. Something to learn here about maybe too much contrast in my personal works.
Thanks for this post and the suggestion to view his work.
He was a lucky man to have lived when he did and have access to things some of us dream about.
Not to mention having the vision and skills to pull it off.
A life well lived.
