Anyone down for a game of Chess or Checkers?
All jokes aside, my friend volunteered to be the muse for a hair colorist this last weekend, and this was the result. When I saw a video of him having it done, I liked it so much that I got him to let me take his portraits the next morning. We met up at the park by my house, and I was inspired to use one of the transmission towers in the park to see if I could use it's geometric lines to enhance the look.
Canon 5D MKIII, Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II lens, lit using natural light and a silver reflector.

Daniel my brother!
A GREAT composition here! I can totally relate to this gentleman's "do"!
I have reoccurring basal cell carcinoma. A "gift" from Uncle Sam for serving 2 years in Vietnam.
Being very "follically" challenged, my scalp is a "checkerboard" of pale white "splotches" where frozen nitrogen was applied to kill the pre-cancerous growths! All that despite wearing a hat almost all the time!
This gentleman has the correct idea and kudos for his bravado in appearing in public looking as such!
The b&w is fantastic Daniel! A rugged jaw line and the presence of his new "do" make this a great composition brother!!!

I guess that checkerboard is definitely a better look than what could have happened had you not had the growths removed, and thankfully us follically challenged men have lots of stylish hats for options to keep our heads covered. I shave my head daily, but still prefer to wear a hat as well and I hope that protects my noggin enough from the sun. The hat collection keeps getting bigger, but if I had hair I don't know if I'd be brave enough to rock this look. It looks good on my friend Asher though.

Oh yeah brother! Hats I love and I have 1 closet dedicated to them. I MUST wear a hat. Don't always wear one but I try.
I am of Italian decent and have olive skin that attracts the sun!
Twice a year I am checked and always at least 1 "pre-cancerous growth" to be frozen dead!
Thanks brother!
Stay cool!
