Hundreds of aphids on the underside of a cone flower leave. Could that attract the American Goldfinch to pick on those leaves?

Those paler ones seem to be parasitised and the wasps will eventually emerge.

Such ugly insects! Very destructive BUT a photo op nonetheless!
It has not been moist enough here for aphids yet........Japanese beetles have destroyed my zinnas!

Ugh. Now I won't sleep tonight.
I didn't know goldfinch ate aphids, but google says they do. I hope the wasp parasites don't hurt.
