There is an issue with this grip. All functions work EXCEPT the shutter release. The Q button and menu and other buttons work. When the shutter button is pressed the screen behaves as it does with the controls on the body. So if you want extra power on the camera and the secondary controls, this is worth the $50 as is. As I shoot mostly in landscape position, I don't need the vertical release. I was informed that it can be repaired for about $100, which would make it a $150 grip, about half of what they are going of on the used market.
Cosmetically it is pretty much pristine, only a few normal wear marks on the bottom plate.
