The prices of used Nikon gear is WAY up from the last couple years. Film especially. My film camera collection is actually worth something!
I should sell my FG. I should like it - fantastic size, cute looks, nice features - but it just doesn't click with me. I think it is because the clangy feel when I take a shot - not well dampened. But I keep it around because it is such a good beginner SLR - just stick it on P and let the user concentrate on composition and focus.

I've got one in really good condition. Bought it in about 2015 ish. I think. Paid $40 for it from a guy on Offer Up. The purchase was actually for the 50mm 1.8 that came with it. A clean AI, not AI-S which I thought was odd. It is indeed cute and a nice size and kinda cheapish. I don't think I have ever used it. I have an FM2, an F3 and an F80 and those are finally starting to get film going thru them.
For a while there people were giving me cameras or selling them to me at prices I could not refuse. I have a clean Canon A1, a Pentax K1000 and Olympus OM10 too. I also have a Pentax 6X7 with about 4 lenses. None of these have been used by me yet.

I mean the shutter delay. Maybe the FG was faster than the FA. I just assumed they were the same due to the inaccurate control of the diaphragm.

I haven’t noticed a delay. I’ll pull it out to see if I just haven’t been paying attention.
