Over the last year or two, I have several times seen a product via Instagram ads, but now I cannot find it.
I've tried searching for it on Google, via AI assisted search, etc.
It is a camera cover. It is like a thin technical cloth material, with stretch I think and some rain-protection/water resistance to the material. It is unstructred and unpadded.
The idea is simply that you simply carry your camera on the strap, and then you have this unbranded cloth/cover/bag/cloak over your camera, but you can easily pull it off and use the camera. The cover/protection would simply hang along the camera strap, almost like a very small towel (since it is unstructured).
I think it was made by some German or Austrian very small outfit. And rather expensive for what it was, like over $100 (stupidly expensive for what it is). Before I try to make something like it, does anyone have an idea of the name of the company or product?
My thinking is simply that it covers your smallish camera (think M, Q3, etc) while it is on your shoulder. It surely doesn't protect against impact, but it provides a bit of rain or dust cover, and more importantly hides your exact gear from potential thieves.
