I just checked and found that Fuji has a firmware update on a couple of the cameras. Since there was a firmware update for my X-E5 to correct "a minor bug", I did the update. In case any other X-E5 owners in the U.S. want to do the update, it can be found on the Fujifilm USA website.
I installed the update last week but haven't noticed any differences. I've seen a couple of references that the update fixed some connectivity issue with the remote app. A couple of users also reported that it fixed a delay with the rear screen coming on. It would be helpful if Fujifilm detailed the specific fixes.

Like you, I see no differences. I agree, I wish Fuji would be more specific about what issues are being addressed.
