I had my first NASCAR (or any motor photo assignment) last Sunday - June 7 in Michigan. It actually was a lot of fun although I'm not a NASCAR fan.
Later in the day there was this area where the light was coming in on the track. I noticed it and hoped it would add to the photos. Here are a few. All shot for Imagn Images.
I'm assuming it's not for everyone but I liked it and wanted to get others opinions.

Great set of images. You really captured the excitement and action of the race. All the photos are well composed with great lighting. Each one captured a snapshot of the event and together told the whole story.
A few of the pit shots were "right position right time" type of shots, such as the crazy repair shots of Ty Gibbs car and especially Tyler Reddick's crew packing up. With regards to the latter, I was honestly wondering what the guy was doing with the number 45 as he's carrying it, and decided to take a few pics of it b/c I was there. I realized shortly afterwards why he was carrying it and was glad I took the photos. Funny how you are rarely, if ever, upset that you took a photo but might be for not taking one. At least since film days have been gone.
The pit shots with Denny Hamlin's crew celebrating was planned as I saw that he had a good lead with about 5 laps to go and realized that I had enough pictures of his car and was given insight to get over to the pit crew. There were a decent number of photographers there with the same idea but I was still happy with the shots.
