I shot this image early today with the intent of increasing the contrast, but when I got going with the post processing I kept pushing until I ended up with this. Did I go overboard?

**Since I agreed with the comments by Douglas and Bob, I did a new edit of the image. This version is much less severe than the original.
If that is what you were going for, then, no, Brent! The boat though, seems a bit bright for the environment it finds itself in. On the other-hand, it is well defined and set apart from
its surroundings,

Thanks, Douglas. 100% agree about the boat. I did want it to stand out, but not jump right out of the frame. I'll take another crack at it.

Your vision Brent. To me the added contrast without corresponding softening (reduce clarity?) adds too much grit. But then that is me.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've reworked the image and tamed it quite a bit.
I do have a question. I can't figure out what you mean by grit. Do you mean "noise?" Or "artifacts?"
