I purchased this M4 from Japan in 2022 after an exhaustive search.
It is from one of the last batches of M4's to be produced in 1970 as the M5 was released in 1971.
It was completely overhauled 8/29/2022 by Sankyo Camera of Tokyo and has worked flawlessly for the 8 rolls of film I've run through since.
When not in use it's always been stored in a temperature controlled drawer and exercised regularly.
There are light signs of usage, but no major dings, dents and cracks on the body.
Having said that, please note that there is a small piece of vulcanite missing at the bottom on shutter release side (pic #8) and a little rash on the left rear corner of the bottom plate (pic #2, bottom left corner).
The viewfinder is clear and focuses well.
