This building is one of the oldest in our downtown and is across the street from the State Capitol. It was taken with my M10M using a Light Lens Lab 50mm f1.5 "Z21," produced as a recreation of the Angénieux Type S21 50 mm f/1.5, designed in France in the early 1950s. Shot wide open, it produces images that are sharp in the center and increasingly soft toward the edges. It also produces a glow in the highlight areas that was popular with B&W filmmakers. Anyone into lenses that have a clinical sharpness probably won't like this image, but I think the lens works well for some subjects--like this old bank building.

I was in in it a few years ago but just the first floor. It was being used by an architectural design firm. There are strict rules about what can be done to both the interior and exterior because the building is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Thanks, Dan. I was pretty sure you'd like this one. I think we both like the same kind of old buildings and this one especially because it's an excellent example of Italian Renaissance Revival architecture.
