I came across this guy yesterday at a Memorial Day parade in a small town that borders Madison. I was walking my bike along the sidewalk and as I went past him he said, "That's a funny looking bike." He was referring to my Co-Motion Nor'wester, which is a pretty cool bike identical to the one shown below, so I looked back at him and said, "You should talk." He had one of those bikes with the front wheel that's about 4 ft high. It was clear we were both ribbing each other so I stopped to chat with him and ended up asking him to pose for me.

My back cannot take that angle any longer! I hurt just lookin' at the image!

A good olde fashioned Memorial Day USA! And YES!!... I would have a bell, horn and possibly a playing card in the spokes...! The hat works also!!

Great capture of a great traditional event.

Is that a friction brake on the front wheel? Guess you have to brake somehow.

Fantastic portrait, Brent. The subject looks very relaxed and natural.
The rendition of black and whites in your pictures is still something that�s hard for me to achieve.
