p.1 #1Found camera at Columbia Wildlife Refuge (Drumheller Monument) today (5/24/26)
A friend found a camera with lens this morning in the Columbia Wildlife Refuge, on the road to the Drumheller Basalt Columns. It looks like the camera fell out of a car.

Send me identifying info if you or someone you know was at the refuge today, Sunday, May 24, and is missing a camera. I can connect you. The camera will likely be taken to the Seattle area today or tomorrow.

That's for sure an unusual post and I believe the first time I have seen something like this. Without divulging more info, is that a Sony camera? Then it would be appropriate for the thread to be here but it is not, I would recommend posting a similar thread in the forum of the respective camera brand.

Yes, it's a Sony Camera. The only images on the camera are from the Drumheller location. And there is no Copyright information set up in the camera.

Also posted on some relevant groups on FB/Meta.Just trying to reach out to the community here, to see if we can get in touch with the owner.

I applaud you and your friend for your honesty!

Unfortunately, not everyone would do the same. I hope the owner gets their gear back

I had left a canon point and shoot at a children's museum. It took me a couple months to think about that as a possible spot I might have left it. They still had it in lost and found.

Did you contact [email protected] ?

That is the email contact for the refuge. If someone lost their camera they may reach out to the same email to see if someone found it.

Thanks for sharing the email address of FWS, we will contact them tonight. And will try and call them by phone tomorrow.

We notified the local Sheriff's office, in case someone calls them.
