I just got a ZM 50/2 Planar used and it brings up the 35/135 lines on my M4P. Before you ask yes it positively clicks into place and is quite secure. To me the flange looks identical to my 35/2 Biogon so I suspect someone accidentally installed the wrong flange.

I can’t find any diagrams of what the flange is supposed to look like.

The flange in your picture looks about correct - on my 50mm Planar the tooth to the left (that is the one triggering the frame, the top one is only the gap for the ranger finder roler) is about 8mm wide, the tooth on my 35mm LLL is only 5mm, the 90mm is about 10mm.

My Planar triggers the M4 frame lines perfectly well, however I know from experience that it is sometimes just the thickness of a hair that decides on the frame line.

Actually I was initially wrong. It's bringing up the 28mm frame lines. Very strange...
