The arc of the wheel is absolutely spot on, and is the focal point in the image. Too me, the bright area to the right sucks my eye away from that detail, and it adds little interest to the image.

Crop might work, will check.
At the time of processing I think I was mentally invested in the little Bokeh at the right side. I'm not sure darkening would help the comp. But you are right about a distraction, often one of my nits too. I'll look again later - dinner time.
