Honestly, I can't tell you how many times I've bought little (actual) rangefinder cameras thinking "oh, I'll carry this around and take so many great pictures" and then end up not using them at all. I never felt comfortable with an actual rangefinder.
I saw this camera and thought "this one looks great... it's not an actual rangefinder... I'll get this as my carry around camera and take so many great pictures"... and of course I didn't.
I have a GFX 100 II and knew this would take great pictures but I just don't use it. I doubt I have taken 500 pictures with it. It's in pretty much brand new condition.. its' sat in a bag since I bought it other than the first couple days.
I know how you feel. I'm currently trying the sony RX1Rii with this exact logic. Results are unknown.
Have you tried a Ricoh GR series? I find that because it's tiny, I actually do carry one everywhere. I tend to prefer the X variant for the field of view. Just a thought.
GLWS! I want to try this camera one day, but I don't need it now.
