I needed this. Thanks bud.

I own the 35mm Thypoch and I love the rendering. I haven't used it in a while and GAS for this new Voigt has been kicking in.

I start combing through this thread for some pics that would convince me to add one to the cart and I see yours.

"Ah, so the Voigt can do the look I'm after." Lo and behold, you were shooting the Thypoch I already own.

To be honest though, I haven't used it as much because I do not like the ergonomics compared to the Voigtlanders I have used. I want to push through that because I love the unique mix of modern and classic I think the Thypoch has but man, it was just so much nicer handling the 40 1.2 when I used it.

After testing using Voigtlander 40mm F1.2 and 35mm f1.4,
I feel that I am favor in 40mm F1.2 over 35mm f1.4.
At F4 or beyond (Especially F8), color display loverly from 35mm f1.4.

After testing all 3, I'm going to keep the 40/2 and 40/1.2. Moving on from the 35/1.4.

The 40/1.2 is really a great lens. It's slightly faster and the extra 5mm gives some more separation. You can see the Aspherical design working throughout the frame at max aperture, which is expected.

The Septon is better than the 35 Nokton also. You have the Aspherical design but also a harsh background, though much more controlled. So you do get some character from it. It's noticeably smaller than the 35/1.4.

The 40/1.2 and 40/2 makes a good combo if you like that focal length. The 35's ghostly bokeh is tolerable, but I really don't like the way it looks with the out of focus foreground areas. It becomes super distracting to my eye.
