The City of Rocks is a rock climbing destination in southern Idaho that's also quite photogenic. One of our first stops on a month long trip, we had a great time doing some of the easiest climbs there, "guided" by our old friends Rick & Evelyn.
Like #3, especially because of the textural differences and your choice of exposure. Still a bit of a challenge to sort out the different focal planes, but that's what makes it so very intriguing to me!
#1 is my second choice. Dramatic is an understatement, but I think it might benefit from a slight boost of shadow exposure on the profiled rocks.
#3 for me - nice textures & contours. I thought there might be more of the hollowed out rocks in your collection. I haven't been there in 30+ years -- back when camping was unregulated and I don't think there was even a guidebook. And there was a notoriously mean steer in the pastures one had to cross on the way to the formation called the Dolphin.
Monica, I too have fond memories of climbing there BITD before the guidebooks, and modern bolts were out. Now days we were very happy to find the easy routes, and clip the shiny new hardware. The well dispersed camp sites are also nice, and still free.
