I am constantly amazed by what our current sensors and modern lenses can achieve. My wife and I were walking home after going for an espresso and scone and came across this scene. I don't like to carry a lot of gear when walking, so I only had the M10M and Voigtlander 28mm f2.0 Ultron asph. I didn't think I could move closer to these people without making them aware of me, so I just shot from the walkway I was on. The crop is the version I hoped I could get and I think it held up quite well. The second image shows the full frame the first was cropped from. Only minimal edge sharpening was applied.

I like the crop - I've always had good results from CV glass, especially the CV 28/2 Ultron which stays on the M8.2 mostly. I just bought a Nikkor 28/1.4G for the Z6iii and the mirrorless functionality using the FTZii adapter. It's first outing was Saturday's cruise-in. Somehow 28mm is growing as my fav FL.
All that aside, I like the original too - potentially a nice pano, crop at the far edge of the pathway? - but I see pollen in your future. Here pollen season is about concluded.
Bob and Paul, thanks very much for the kind words. Bob, your idea about the pano is a good one. You're right on about the pollen. The count is super high.
