what is the difference between this and the one that as a plus in the name? I am been wanting to test some of those recent Sigma lenses only available for Sony.

Plus has a weather sealing gasket and allows for focus confirmation with MF lenses (even ones without contacts, or ones stacked on dumb adapters). It also works with A-mount adapters/lenses.
