April 13 marks kind of a special entry for me in the National Holiday series Ive been exploring the lest few years. Perhaps the more commonly recognized holiday would be National Scrabble Day. A not so commonly recognized holiday for this date would be National Theresa Day.
My moms name was/is Theresa. Shes been gone for just over 53 years now. She passed as a result of a brain tumor gone wrong when I was just 19 years old. The Scrabble game board in the photograph is probably at least 60 years old. Even the paper bag that holds the extra tiles is that old. They don't make paper bags like that anymore.
I played many a game of Scrabble with my mom on this board when I was young. Im hoping well play again some day.
