Look African by the ears and head shape lazlo. I am no expert but when I was in Thailand and Laos the Asian elephants had small ears and "bumps" on their heads.

Dan is correct as to the differences between the African and Asian. This one is African. The image was captured in a mahogany tree forest in the lower Zambezi region of Zambia.
