This healthy specimen stands alone at the top of Inferno Cone in the Craters Of The Moon national monument. I was lucky to have it to myself last week on a cool and windy evening.
I love your choice of composition here. You got a great gift in a really interesting sky. One thing that does bother me just a bit is the horizon tilt - about 1° clockwise?
Wonder just how old that tree is? Betting it is ancient.
Nice light, but my head wonders what casts the darkness in lower left quadrant... And is that a Lone Limber, or a Lone Timber? And if a Lone Limber, what is a Limber?
Nice Image. Craters of the Moon is such a unique and special place. I would certainly enjoy seeing any other images you made there.
Please don't take this as a criticism, I can't tell if this is due to the processing or the image hosting on Fred's website but the dark region in the lower left seems like it could be lightened a touch.
