Q3 43 was delivered today and as advertised is brand new camera with full warranty and didn’t have to pay import fees or tariffs. And I received the shipment in 4 days from Hong Kong and saved $1,500.

Intangiblethin, I never thought about that. Interesting. The q3 43 is scheduled for delivery today, so that will have to be the next purchase. Haha.
The camera is USD 6,064.44 on their site (HKD 47,500).
Wow that is interesting. I wonder though if that price includes any tariffs and shipping. I couldn’t tell from the website. But what a huge difference in price compared to that in the US. That’s almost a $2,000 difference.

Congratulations on the new camera. It will bring you many years of enjoyable photography.
Thank you. As incredible as the camera is I decided to return it. I ultimately realize that I don’t appreciate fixed lens cameras and I would not feel comfortable taking this camera with me for the type of things I shoot. I have the Leica CL for that.
I can say that All Good Friend Camera has been incredible to work with. Top notch!
It appears that All Good Friend Camera (AGFCamera) is a very reliable seller with a 100% positive rating over many transactions on ebay. However, they are not an authorized Leica dealer. I wrote to them directly with a number of questions, and I got a very quick and detailed reply with what appears to me to be complete and very professional candor. The reply I received made me think well of them.
However, as above, they said they are not an authorized Leica dealer. There is a two-year warranty, but the repairs are made through them but by Leica. (I assume this means the camera would have to be shipped back to them.) Their price does include any tariffs. They are selling what would be the correct version of the camera for the U.S (i.e., the EU, US, CN version). The version one would not want is the JP version because the Japanese versions apparently are modified to make a forced shutter sound with electronic shutter in order to comply with a Japanese law that requires this.
My contact with them made me think well of them. They appear to be very reliable, candid, and professional.
I don't know if there are any equally reliable HK camera sources who are equally reliable and who are authorized Leica or otherwise worth considering. Meteor HK? Any other possibilities?

You can buy a Q3 43 from any Leica store in Italy with the full 3 year World Wide warranty and save about $1,400 after VAT refund right now. Of course you must do it in person, not by mail

I'm trying to talk my wife into making another visit to Italy, my favorite destination. She is holding out for New Zealand.

That is interesting about them not being an authorized Leica dealer, as I understood that they were. It does sound like they have some kind of agreement with Leica though. I purchased a new Leica lens through them and was able to register it with Leica and I think (not 100% positive) that I also received an extra year of warranty on my lens.
The owner was very informed and reputable imo. He did state to us that they were raising prices the day after we bought the camera due to the Iran War. We were so close to buying a second one to resell here. Too much of a hassle lol
