Can anyone explain why the M-11 monochrome is so difficult to find? Are they discontinued?

They are easily available at Leica Company owned stores here in Italy.

MPB has two of them at the moment. Also, All Good Friend Camera (via eBay) has a used one. They are a reputable company.
