This rare early version uses thorium glass, giving it a unique yellow tint that produces a soft glow wide open with smooth tonal transitions, especially beautiful for black and white photography. The lens is in excellent condition with clean glass free from scratches or fungus, smooth focusing, and a properly working aperture. The body has no dings, dents, or damage, making this a well preserved and special collector piece from the first production batch.
