In my case I use the A7CR and wanted a fast f2.8 wide zoom, but didn't want it too big or heavy, and a fast mid-range prime. I got the excellent Tamron 20-40 f2.8 Di III zoom that costs about 44% less than the Sony 20-70 f4. It is fully WR, has linear motor for fast focusing, is a full stop faster and about 25% less size/weight vs the Sony. Pair it up the 55 f1.8 ZA.
