Super envious of all your work. This has a great subject and great photography as well. Great Greys are on my bucket list... hopefully someday soon. You have my VOTE.
Thanks everyone for your comments much appreciated. I've been very fortunate to have the opportunity to photograph this owl, it has been a lifer for me.
Obviously the Grey took flight for Jose's spectacular photos after I left the scene, but it was amazing to see it and capture photos as it perched during my time at the site. It was great to meet Jose (Thanks again) and some of the local photographers capturing shots of this rare visitor from the far north. It was impressive and wonderful to observe the group's respect for the owl as they kept good distance to prevent any stress to it.

Hi Bill thank you very much for your kind words. It was also great to meet you, a fellow FMer but I was a little disappointed it didn't fly out for you during your visit. We waited an additional 2.5 hours in the freezing rain after you left before it launched to a perch across the opening and it remained there until late in the afternoon apparently.
